Is This the End of the Road for Mariano Rivera of the New York Yankees?
Future Hall of Famer and all-time great New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera has had arguably the three worst back-to-back-to-back games of his career. On Sunday, he blew a save versus Yankees arch rival the Boston Red Sox, allowing a run in the bottom of the ninth in a game the Red Sox eventually won. On Tuesday, he gave up two runs in the top of the ninth to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to lose a game. Yesterday, he gave up a grand slam in holding on to a 6-5 win over the Angels. Is this the end of the road for Mariano Rivera? He has given up four runs, four hits, and two home runs in his last three appearances that have lasted 2 2/3 innings combined. At some point we all start to slip a little, I don’t think he’s done yet, but his ball dosen’t seem to be breaking as much as it use to or at the right time.

No, Mariano is not even close to being done. He’s had a few games like this this season, he’s slipping a bit, but he’s not even close to being done.

Were getting old as fans just like these players, uhh. man what a career he has had with the Yankees over all, I hope it not the end as a baseball fan I respect him.
Bobby, I respect him too, how could you not? He plays the game the right way, and keeps a low profile. The greatest closer, ever. Not even debatable anymore.
