The New York Knicks had an impressive victory Friday night over theWashington Wizards, 112-91. It was the second game in a back-to-back, and the Knicks were not overconfident after a victory the previous night over the Chicago Bulls.
Toney Douglas once again led the Knicks in scoring, with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals off the bench. Amar’e Stoudemire scored 18 points and 4 blocks, while Danilo Gallinari with 16 points and 2 blocks. Starting point guard Raymond Felton continues to impress, scoring 13 points and dishing out 10 assists. Two other Knicks, Wilson Chandler and Ronny Turiaf, were in double figures off the bench, with 14 points and 6 rebounds, and 10 points, respectively.
Andray Blatche led the Wizards with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, while first overall NBA Draft Pick John Wall scored 13 points and had 7 assists, but also committed 9 turnovers. Gilbert Arenas, playing in his first game since January, when he was suspended for 50 games for possessing a gun in the locker room, scored 18 points off the bench.
