Michael Strahan Receives Preston Robert Tisch Humanitarian Award by Derrel “Jazz” Johnson

On Tuesday, March 1, 2011, The Health and Humanitarian Aid Foundation(HHAF) held their annual dinner gala at Gotham Hall in New York City to present the Preston Robert Tisch Humanitarian Award to former New York Giants star defensive end and current Fox Sports Football Analyst Michael Strahan and Empower Software Solutions CEO Seth Bernstein.

There were numerous amazing items available in a hi-tech auction using iPads that featured a game-worn New York Jets Super Bowl III helmet autographed by all of the team’s players, a pair of boxing gloves autographed by the legendary Muhammad Ali, a baseball signed by former New York Yankees legend Mickey Mantle, and a autographed jersey from former Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan, among dozens of others.

Many current and former New York Giants players attended the event, including current Giants quarterback Eli Manning, defensive ends Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora, and running back Brandon Jacobs.   Former Giants stars Phil Simms, currently of CBS Sports, and Carl Banks, were also in attendance.

The Health and Humanitarian Aid Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization
