Daily Debate: Are the New York Yankees in Trouble?

The New York Yankees lost game two to the Detroit Tigers after winning the conclusion of  game one on Saturday night.  Tonight features a rematch of the series opener that was suspended after two games with the 24-5 Justin Verlander facing 19-8 CC Sabathia in a crucial game three.  AJ Burnett, 11-11 this season with a 5.15 ERA, is the scheduled starter for game four.  He was out of the starting rotation for the American League Divisional Series for the team but the suspended game Friday has created a shortage of starters for the Yankees.  Are they in trouble?  Voice your opinion on the Razz and Jazz Sports Blog Daily Debate.

  1. CMR says:

Best of 5 series are arguably crapshoots. Every game is a must win. They are in as much trouble as Detroit is with the series tied 1-1.

    • The Detroit Tigers always planned to use four starters, whereas the New York Yankees are thrusting an 11-11 veteran pitcher with a 5.15 ERA that very few have confidence in. I think the Yankees are in more trouble.

  2. Jsportsfan says:

Yankees must win tonight because they won’t win with AJ pitching Game 4.
