Adamek and Jennings Shine on Fight Night by Derrel ‘Jazz” Johnson

The fourth edition of NBC Sports Network’s Fight Night series featured seven fights Saturday at the Newark’s Prudential Center.
In the main event, fan favorite Tomasz Adamek, of Polish decent and a current Jersey resident, defeated Eddie Chambers in a unanimous
decision to improve to 46-2. Adamek won the IBF North American Heavyweight Title, which was previously vacant.

In the opening bout, Tureano Johnson from Nassau in the Bahamas defeated Roberto Yong with a unanimous decision. In the next fight,
Jersey City native Jose Peralta improved his record to 9-1 with fourth-round TKO of Dontre King. In the third fight of the night,
Patrick Farrell defeated David Williams with a unanimous decision.

Newark resident John Thompson defeated John Mackey by unamimous decision in their sixth round fight, while Bryant “By-By” Jennings dominated Steve Collins to move to 14-0. Jamaal Davis out of Philadelphia defeated Doel Carrasquillo in a batle of junior
middleweights.

With Adamek and Jennings, there are some heavyweights that are impressive, and if Adamek wants, he sould be be able to get a match
with the champion. Jennings, still very young, needs to learn how to keep the chin open.
