Amar’e Stoudemire Out Six Weeks

At New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson’s pre-game press conference before tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz, it was announced that Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire would have surgery to undergo an injury to his right knee, or right knee debridement.

“It’s a major loss to what we are trying to do…He had soreness in his knee” which is what lead to the MRI that revealed the injury.

Carmelo Anthony continues to be listed as day-to-day as well, so the New York Knicks are playing the Utah Jazz without Melo or Stat.
