The New York Knicks are 7-9 since the blockbuster trade for Carmelo Anthony. Is that what you expected through 16 games, above average, or below average? Why?

Of course we expected better immediate results. But just as the Miami project. These Super Teams need time. It’s proven. It does not work overnight. And frankly speaking, since i’m a Sixers fan. The Knicks current struggle is a welcome action. They will make the playoffs. And might pull off an upset in the 1st round. Even though D’antoni is not a defensive coach. Chauncey and crew could tighten up Defense during playoffs. Don’t give up on the Knicks. They will be dangerous come playoff time. If their minds are into it.
I’m not giving up, but my problem is the lack of effort defensively. I have no problem with the loss last night. I have a problem with two losses to Indiana and Cleveland, one to Milwaukee, and one to Detroit.
The Knicks will continue to struggle until they learn their roles, players and coaches, right now there are 3 different teams on the court all in in the same uniform, D’antoni and Stat are still playing Phoenix ball,Melo and Billups are still playing Nuggets ball because they haven’t found they’re niche on this team yet,and the rest of the Knicks don’t know they’re role anymore since the trade, right now the Knicks have no identity and it will only get worse as they stumble their way into the post season.
The Knicks have more excuses than assists recently which is unfortunate. Yes it takes time to gel but there is a talent level that should get you past the Cavs and Pacers or at least a split of 4 games which didn’t occur. Chanucy and his 14 million dollar salary as well as the coach are all on the table for discussion right now. Is Mikey D the right coach for this group and what do we do at the PG position. D Williams may stay a Net especially if a franchise tag is negotiotiated into the new CBA and the same for Paul in new Orleans. With that said, all are trade chips went to Denver so I am definitely concerned about this team and it’s future
